Join us for the Finissage of the Artist Residency of Erik Hårdstedt
Friday November 22
Come and view the new series of paintings by Erik Hårdstedt, created during his 6 week period as Artist in Residence at the Nordic Art Agency. This exhibition is a culmination of his time as Artist in Residence creating in his temporary studio in the gallery.
Erik Hårdstedt is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans drawing, collage, text, and music, with watercolour as his signature medium. Fascinated by its unpredictability, he embraces the balance between precision and spontaneity that watercolour offers.
Currently, Erik Hårdstedt’s focus is on his new series of works inspired by the village of Uddebo in southwestern Sweden, where he has lived for 16 years. His paintings reflect the mundane yet familiar details that often go unnoticed—construction sites, mailboxes, and even forgotten objects like a moldy caravan or a towel left outside a sauna. Through these works, Erik aims to transform the everyday into something magical, creating alternative, dream-like narratives that resonate with the local community.
Join Erik Hårdstedt at Nordic Art Agency for the Finissage on the 22nd of November with art, conversation and drinks from 17 -19:00.
