Lars Daniel
We are always seeking new connections and were intrigued by the photography of Lars Daniel. The images of the Big Sleep series lingered & we found ourselves revisiting the images wanting to understand more about the buildings, bodies and photographer.
Lars Daniel has always been swept up in photography, taking on a diverse range of subjects, where landscapes played the bigger part. Analogue photograph came to an abrupt end when one day burglars emptied his studio. His beloved large format camera was later found in a container bound for Libya. He chose to go with the flow & continue his journey with the digital equipment left behind.
His objective is not to present a story, but to allow the viewer to create one of their own or explore the possible directions of the image and how it unfolds. His photographs could be interpreted as dark or even disturbing as he attempts to scratch the surface to deliver a deeper essentially more visceral narrative. The Big Sleep series is an exciting body of work and we are thrilled to represent it exclusively in the Nordics and UK. All prints are museum quality Giclée prints on matte Hahnemühle paper mounted and framed in handcrafted, dark solid smoked oak frames.
We are delighted to represent the photography of Lars Daniel exclusively in the Nordics.
