Jennifer Idrizi

Jennifer Idrizi is a British artist and designer who currently works from her studio based in Lund, Sweden. She has a diverse creative practice dividing her time between art and designing homeware products and patterns for international clients.

Jennifer studied at Central St Martins School of Art and The Royal College of Art in London and has exhibited her art in the US, UK, Sweden, Denmark, Vietnam and Albania.

‘My art and design work influence each other, and often lead to cross-disciplinary ideas and techniques.’

Jennifer works with a variety of media, depending on the modus of the project. Her work often explores the balance between order/chaos, nature/culture and control/freedom.

Through a series of works on paper, Jennifer always begins with specific set of instructions which lead to subtle variations according to her interpretation during the process of making them.

‘The work begins with a perfectly simple idea. But it is far from perfect as it unfolds. By repeating I am focusing on the question at hand. Partly predicting but also allowing things to unfold. Sensitive dependance on initial conditions, action, mood, response, mistakes, change and time are all inherent to my process.’
